First Week At Home

As you can see Ry and I weren't the only ones shocked with the transition of coming home. Ryan and I have never been so tired in our life. We love having our little sweetie home with us, but we are definitely missing the nurse button at 2AM!

Paige (aka Milk Face) is definitely packing on the pounds. She was born weighing 6lbs 2oz, when we left the hospital she was down to 5lbs 8oz, 1 week later she was up to 5lbs 10oz. Now 2 weeks later she is a whopping 6lbs 6oz. As you can tell the nursing is going well!

Despite the fact that her mom made her wear a flower the size of her head all day, Paige still gave us few smiles while she was sleeping.

Paige loves her new quilt, courtesy of Tiffany Bingham. It is adorable!

Finally after a long day of eating and sleeping, Paige cashes it in on Grammie Barbs arm.

Our Hero

Paige's Daddy and My Hero! Ry has been the greatest husband and new daddy through this whole great adventure! He rarely leaves our side and insits on holding his precious daughter at any possible chance he gets! I have never seen someone so in love with a little baby girl. From the moment Paige was born he was in love and attached. His eyes have never left her since. He has been great about updating the blog daily with the latest and greatest pictures. He has changed more of Paige's diapers than anyone else (I haven't even changed one!). I am so greatful to be married to such a wonderful man and especially to be starting out our adventures as parents with such a natural born father! Thanks Ry for loving and caring for us. We love you! Love, Jodie & Paige

Good Morning Sweetie, Day 2 of Life.

Pregnancy Update

Here it is the 36 weeks pregnant pic! This may be my last post of the prego bod. I am definitely not looking my greatest anymore. So here is the update on the current prego status: Paige is so far taking after her mother and choosing to be BREECH! We have known that she was breech from 19 weeks and have just been hoping and praying that she would decide to turn around. No such luck and we are running out of time (and space I might add). Our next appointment is next Friday and if she hasn't turned by then the Dr said we may have to discuss some other options. One option (if conditions are perfect) would be to try and manually turn her around. The Dr said that this is only successful 50% of the time and many times they just turn back around. (Stubborn!) The other option is to schedule a c-section. (That option sounds the most inviting at this point in time!) So I guess we are just waiting around to see what Pagie has in mind! Ryan said the other day that maybe she is just insisting on having a perfectly round head by refusing to come into this world via birth canal!
We will keep you updated on the news!

So Sorry!

Ok, So I think I have officially been chewed out by everyone who looks at my blog for not posting since January! My life has been crazy. I am finally finished with work Hallelujah! My last few months at work were crazy as I tried to cram everything in to the end. Finally, this last Monday was my last day and I left it all behind. I must admit that I am a little nervous about the prospect of just being home all day! Anyways, Since my last post tons has happened but I'll just write a few.

First, I had my quarter of a century birthday on March 6th. With everything else that has been going on it didn't really seem like a big deal. But as I was opening my gifts my awesome husband surprised my with keys to a new car! I was SO excited. This is definitely the largest birthday gift I have ever received. Many of my long distance friends have been asking for a pic, so here it is. Don't mind the picture of Carl's behind, ( I couldn't get him to stay at the camera while I took the pic!) so its his own fault that it will be posted for everyone to see!

Also since my last post, I have had 2 baby showers for Baby Paige. (By the way, that is the name we have chosen if you hadn't heard yet!) My first shower was in Portland with my wonderful Orme Family. We went to P.F. Changs (always a favorite) and Paige got her first taste of spoiling. It was great to get to visit with all the girls on my last trip to Portland before the arrival of the baby. My second shower was here in Idaho and was thrown by Natalie and her mom Cindy. It was a huge task trying to organize something to accommodate my many, many family and friends that live in the area. But as always, Nat and her mom are amazing and it was great. For some reason I was getting a little nervous that no one would show. Especially after only about 4 RSVP's. However, when the day arrived there were at least 60 people in attendance! I could not believe it. It was an awesome shower and Paige walked (or I guess rode) away a seriously spoiled unborn infant. Here are some of the pics of the results of that shower. Again, thanks again to Natalie and her mom for taking on such a huge event! I love you both!

An adorable changing table, stocked with all the necessities.

A matching crib with literally piles and piles of quilts and blankets.

Approximately 780 diapers! In all various sizes.

Baskets and baskets of toys and supplies!

And finally, somewhere around 70 different outfits!

Yes, crazy I know. But at least I can say that I didn't spoil her!

We are so excited for her to come. As of today I am 36 weeks prego! Only 4 weeks left to go. I am on the rotation of taking a pregnancy pic every 4 weeks so today is the day for a new pic. I will post tomorrow the new pic as well as a pregnancy update. Again, so sorry for the delay. Hopefully I am back into the blogger circle again. Love you all! -Jodie
