Yard Work

Our life the past week has consisted of yard work and more yard work. We cut out somewhere around 3000 square feet of sod from the west side of our property. Luckily free sod on craigslist goes in a hurry!
These pics are of our mid way point through this project. We have all the sod out and are now moving on to drip lines, steel edging, liner, and bark!
My garden has been a work in progress for a few years now. It is finally nearing completion! Ry is building me a few more small boxes and I am getting some raspberry starts tomorrow.
Next comes liner and bark and it will be complete :)
What a wonderful husband I have that works so hard to bring my garden dreams to life.

A little catch up....in no particular order

Ali and Paige were best friends all day at Bear World. It think it is so cute because instead of saying where is Paige, Ali says, "Where my sister?"
Paige had to take a cake to Preschool for a cake walk on the last day of school. This is what she picked and we made.
Big girl at her preschool graduation ceremony.
 Our two surviving chucker babies.

Paige on a date with Mom and Dad for her birthday. She got her ears pierced and a free ice cream sundae at Red Robin. Loved it all until the waitresses started to sing......she was NOT a huge fan of that :)
 Brand new shiny earrings!
This is how we spend most of our days lately....OUTSIDE. The kids are enjoying lunch with our neighbor Makenna.

The kids new best friend a Bear World.
Cam strutting his stuff at one of his last days of Gymnastics. He is definitely one of the best in his class and brought home 4 ribbons yesterday from passing off so many skills.
Paige's request for a birthday cake was a butterfly.
Cam and Paige went to a 4 week preschool put on by Bridgette's child development class at the high school. They had so much fun getting to go together and have Bridge be their teacher.
Family Easter pic.....after at least 10 self time shots and a little photo shop it is as close to perfect as we can manage :)
A new baby colt that was born in the field behind our house on Paige's birthday.

Hawaii

Hangin' loose waiting for the air shuttle to Molokai.

Coolest trees ever! They seem to sprout from the branches and then reach toward the ground to plant roots.
The Cookhouse Guava BBQ Baby Back Ribs. Voted "by us" best ribs on Hawaii! If you don't mind waiting an hour after you order for food :) Bring Monopoly deal card game and the wait flies by!
Hawaii's longest beach and we were the sole occupants!
Our first beach visit once we got to Molokai.
 View from our lanai (porch).
Air shuttle back to Oahu. 9 seater airplane.....Ry was in heaven :)
 A view from the flight.

Mermaid Tails

I am quite proud of my latest sewing project.....inspired by Paige. She was begging for a mermaid tail to play in because she currently loves pretending to be a mermaid who turns back into a girl. So after a few internet searches I came upon this site:

and voila mermaid tails that morph into legs!

Portland for Christmas and Dance

Santa made a surprise appearance at Paige's preschool program. The kids were very excited to see him and get an early present. Our Christmas this year pretty much consisted of opening a few presents every few days. Christmas seemed to last FOREVER!
We had a great time hanging out with family in Oregon! Grandma Suze, Jayda, and Aunt Heather made sugar cookies for all of the kids (and adults) to decorate. Everyone loved them!
Uncle Brian took us on a tour of the fire station. Cam was in heaven. He is really into fire fighters lately.
Snuggled up with my "not so baby" babies.
Everyone seemed to pair off when we got together. Lola and Ali were seriously inseparable.
Paige loves hanging out with cousins. She was particularly fond of Rachel and Jayda this time around.
The reenactment of the Nativity was very entertaining :) Thanks Jayda for your production work!
Ali's other favorite cousin.....Stella....too bad Stella did not feel the same :)
I loved this picture of Ali and Grandpa Terry. The kids always love Grandpa Terry (the treat drawer doesn't hurt either!)
The CRAZY CREW! Paige is trying to show off her eye make up. Ali is giving her "i'm so innocent" smile and  I have no idea what Rachel is up to!
What a great role model these two little girls have in Jayda :)

Paige had her first halftime dance performance on Thursday. She was seriously the start of the show. The only sad thing was by mechanical malfunction I missed the whole thing on video :( Thankfully she will perform at another game soon :)

Merry Christmas

We got to meet the GRINCH! He was unspreading Holiday cheer outside the waiting area to see Santa.
Cam asked Santa for a big truck
Paige asked for a Bratz monster sleeping bag
Ali didn't say much but had a BIG smile for Santa.

Paige was a little nervous of the Grinch and would only stand by him for a picture if I stood between them....Can you blame her?!?! Zoom in and check out those eyes!
