Walking Progress

Wow look at me go.....2 posts in 1 week! I thought all of our Oregon family would appreciate an update on Cams walking progress. He seriously gets better and better everyday. Look out Paige....here comes Cam!

I thought Grandma Suze would really like this picture. Paige got to gather the eggs from the chickens at Grandpa Danny's and then we got to bring them home to eat.
We finally had some decent weather and the kids had a pool party with Logan and Ryker. They had a pool, slip and slide, treats, and obviously a great time. I was thrilled to see that when we got home and showered up that all my sunscreening hadn't been in vain. Almost all day out side in the sun and NO SUNBURNS!

Random Happenings

So i know that I am the worlds worst blogger....but what can i say....I'm a little busy these days! So here are a few pics to fill you in on what's been going on in our life lately. We spend Memorial Day weekend at Henrys Lake camping and fishing. Paige had a blast and will tell you her favorite part was catching the "huge one". When you ask her how big the fish she caught was she says "huuuuuge!" She keeps reminding us that she wants to go "fishing camping" again.
Cam has been gaining courage faster than he has been gaining skills and is constantly getting himself into dangerous situations. He has NO FEAR. He crashes a lot but could care less as long as he thinks he is keeping up with his big sister. This is one of his latest crazy maneuvers. It wouldn't be so bad if he knew how to get down. Instead he just lets go and braces for impact!

The local farmers market is one of our favorite Friday night activities. We all love the "torn" as Paige calls it. It is grilled corn covered in mayo, Parmesan cheese, and chili powder. It sounds gross, i know, but believe me it is DELICIOUS! Paige eats an entire cob herself.

Although Cam loves the corn, jerky keeps him just as content as we enjoy the rest of the market.

Cam has been threatening to walk for weeks now with a step here and there and pushing things around the room. But on his 9 month birthday he surprised us with this new skill. He just can't wait to keep up with his sister. I believe she is his total inspiration!

Easter Morning!

Happy Easter!

Despite our best efforts, Paige could not supress this smile!

Cam liked the grass most of all.

But as soon as he discovered this chewy lizard, the grass went by the wayside.

Meet our Easter surprise Dora. Paige named her all on her own.

Valentines Day

Valentines Day started off with Paige and I making chocolate covered strawberries. Paige thought she had gone to heaven when I let her go to town on the leftover chocolate. She started with dipping pretzel sticks but soon ditched those and went for fingers only!

I know it looks like she is grimacing, but this is actually her SMILE face.

I prepared a romantic dinner for 2 of miso salmon with sake butter and rice.

Needless to say the "romantic" portion of the dinner went out the window when we were joined by two extras!

Cam got a little crazy and we had to pry his fingers AND toes off the sparkling white grape juice bottle!

Christmas

Christmas was very exicting for Paige this year. She woke up to find this slide from Santa. She was so happy she ran right up to the top and slid down first thing in the morning. This continued all day. She also figured out how to send most of her other toys down the slide as well. She was also suprized (as were we) to find a full size tramp set up in the backyard! A gift from Santa as well. He really knows what we need (a tramp in 0 degree weather!) Thanks Santa!

Paige has been practicing smiling and has really fine tuned it with her new digital camera. Yes our daughter is already getting expensive electronics for Christmas at 20 months old!
She has also perfected the sad face which she can do on command or just to get what she wants!

Cam enjoyed Christmas as well. He mostly got clothes but I think he realizes that in the next few months he will fully enjoy the slide and tramp as well.

Last minute (due to oversold flights) we left for Portland 9am on the day after Christmas. Our kids did awesom on the flight and we are looking forward to spending the next 2 weeks in Oregon. The pic of Cam above shows exactly how happy he is to be going to visit Grandma Suze and Grandpa Terry.

Happy Cameron
